Southampton Concert Wind Band
Wyvern Community Choir was formed in 2006 by Bryan Postlethwaite, Head of Music at Wyvern College, and has grown in strength and reputation with a membership ranging between
80 and 100. Dressed in their trademark black and red outfits, they have a refreshing and mixed repertoire of fabulous songs and pieces. These include many selections from stage and screen as
well as popular classical pieces by Karl Jenkins, John Rutter and Carl Orff such as Magnificat, Carmina Burana and Stella Natalis.
The Citizens of the World Choir was established in March 2017 by a group of humanitarian and musical professionals. In a short time, the choir has brought together people
from over 15 different nationalities in a musical project that has already had two very successful seasons. COTW is a choir for people who are refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and friends. It
provides a safe space for refugees to express themselves through music, as well as creating a diverse, friendly social community. They are non-politically affiliated and use their platform to
advocate for refugee rights and human rights, to demonstrate the powerful contribution that refugees and immigrants make to our society.
